VC0706 VGA: SC03MPD

A 300K pixels (VGA) highly integrated serial camera module can be connected to any host system that requires a video camera or a JPEG compressed still camera for embedded imaging applications.

SC03MPD module uses a CMOS VGA color image sensor along with VC0703 chip that provides a low cost and low powered camera system. The module has an on-board serial interface (TTL/RS232/RS485) that is suitable for a direct connection to any host micro-controller serial or PC system COM port.

User commands are sent using VC0706 protocol that can instruct the camera to send high resolution JPEG images for storage or viewing. The SC03MPD comes in a compact format with a built in lens and a 4-Pin PH2.0 connector that provides easy access to both power and serial data.

It outputs pictures at 640×480, 320×240 or 160×120 and they’re pre-compressed JPEG images which makes them nice and small and easy to store on an SD card. Perfect for a data-logging, security, or photography project.
